School districts around Washington D.C. are starting foreign language classes as early as kindergarden. One teacher is teaching some of her lessons in Spanish and some in English. An other is doing the same thing only with French and English. The goal is to help immigrants learn English and also to help English speakers do better later in life as bilinguals.
